FI: Historiansa suurimman muutoksen kokeva Kansallismuseo avataan yleisölle näillä näkymin keväällä 2027.
Kansallismuseon laajennusosan rakentaminen on alkanut. Päärakennuksen, uudisosan sekä pihapuiston muodostama rikas museokokonaisuus avautuu yleisölle jälleen keväällä 2027.
SV: Nationalmuseet presenterar Finlands historia från förhistoria till 1800-talet. Unika föremål berättar om livet under mer än 10 000 års tid. Tillfälliga utställningar om aktuella ämnen.
Nationalmuseets byggnad planerades av arkitekterna Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren och Eliel Saarinen. Med sina granitfasader och dekorativa detaljer i täljsten är byggnaden ett av de förnämsta byggnadsverken i nationalromantisk stil i Finland. Museet öppnades för allmänheten 1916.
I museet finns även café och museibutik.
Finlands Nationalmuseum har stängt sina dörrar under ett renoverings- och tillbyggnadsprojekt i museet. Nationalmuseet öppnas för publiken, som det nu ser ut, på våren 2027.

The National Museum building was designed by the Finnish architects Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen. With its granite façade and steatite decoration, the building is one of Finland's most significant national-romantic works of architecture. The museum was opened to the public in 1916.
A café and museum shop are also located in the museum.
The National Museum of Finland has closed its doors for the duration of the museum’s renovation and expansion project. The museum is estimated to reopen its doors to the public in spring 2027.
