FI: Laajasalon vuonna 2003 valmistuneen kirkon ovat suunnitelleet arkkitehdit Kari Järvinen ja Merja Nieminen. Rakennus on pääosin puuta. Kirkko- ja seurakuntasalin ja osittain kellotornin ja toimintatilojen ulkoverhous on patinoitua kuparilevyä. Muilta osin ulkoverhouksessa on käytetty vaakalaudoitusta. Kirkko on palkittu vuonna 2004 korkeatasoisesta puurakentamisesta ja vuonna 2005 Copper in Architecture -palkinnolla.
Kirkossa on myös Aulakahvio, jossa voi pistäytyä arkisin.
SV: Degerö kyrka, som stod färdig 2003, har ritats av arkitekterna Kari Järvinen och Merja Nieminen. Byggnadens huvudsakliga material är trä. Väggbeklädnaden i kyrk- och församlingssalen och delvis i klocktornet och verksamhetslokalerna är gjord av patinerad kopparplåt. I övriga delar utgörs väggbeklädnaden av horisontell brädfodring. År 2004 belönades kyrkan med ett pris för högklassigt träbygge och 2005 med priset Copper in Architecture.
I kyrkan finns även ett café som har öppet på vardagar.
EN: The Laajasalo church, completed in 2003, was designed by architects, Kari Järvinen and Merja Nieminen. The building is mostly made of wood. The external cladding of the church and parish meeting hall, and part of the bell tower and activity facilities, is antiqued copper plate. The rest of the external cladding is made out of horizontal boarding. The church was awarded prize in 2004 for high-level wood construction, and in 2005 it received the Copper in Architecture award.
A small cafe in the lobby, open on weekdays.
