FI: Median museo ja arkisto merkki (ent. Päivälehden museo) on kaikille avoin tila käsitellä ja tutkia viestinnän ilmiöitä ja uutisten historiaa. Vanhassa sanomalehtitalossa Helsingin keskustassa sijaitsevan Merkin elämykselliset näyttelyt esittelevät mediaa painokoneista internetin meemikulttuuriin. Järjestämme opastuksia, luentoja ja tapahtumia.
Merkin arkistoon on tallennettu suomalaista mediahistoriaa yli sadan vuoden ajalta sekä tutkimuksen tueksi että yhteiseksi iloksi. Merkki tarjoaa välineitä ymmärtää viestien maailmaa. Merkki on muuttuvan median tulkki ja tallentaja, joka esittelee uutishistoriaa ja tuoreinta tietoa median ilmiöistä ja kutsuu ihmiset mukaan. Vapaa pääsy!
SV: Merkki är öppet för alla och en plats där man kan behandla och undersöka fenomen inom kommunikation. Merkki ligger i ett gammalt tidningshus i centrala Helsingfors. Den permanenta utställningen presenterar mediernas värld, allt från tryckpressar till internetmem. Museet erbjuder olika slags guidade visningar och annat program. Fritt inträde!
EN: Merkki provides open access to anyone who wants to explore the phenomena of communication. The museum brings to life the legendary “Ludda” newspaper quarters in central Helsinki. The permanent exhibition showcases media from printing machines to internet memes. Merkki organizes tours, talks and events. Free entry!
