FI: Suomenlinnakeskuksessa sijaitseva Suomenlinna-museo on Suomenlinnan päämuseo. Se esittelee linnoituksen yli 260-vuotisen historian vaiheita, sen ruotsalaista, venäläistä ja suomalaista kautta: saaristolaivastoa, kuivatelakkaa, Suomen sodan aikaa, varuskunnan arkea, sekä linnoituksen viimeisimpiä vuosikymmeniä kulttuuriperintökohteena ja nähtävyytenä. Perusnäyttelyssä on mm. esillä Suomenlinnan kaivauksista ja rakennuksista löytyneitä käyttöesineitä, työkaluja, aseita ja ammuksia. Museon vaihtuvien näyttelyiden tila keskittyy kiinnostaviin ajankohtaisiin teemoihin. Museossa voi katsoa myös linnoituksen monivaiheisen tarinan kertovan Suomenlinna Experience -laajakangasesityksen useilla kielillä. Esitys kertoo mielenkiintoisella tavalla, millainen paikka Suomenlinna on, ja miksi sillä on niin merkittävä rooli Suomen historiassa. Esitykset puolen tunnin välein, ja viimeinen esitys tuntia ennen sulkemisaikaa. Museon yhteydessä on museokauppa ja Café Augustin.
SV: På Sveaborgsmuseet i Sveaborgscentret presenteras de olika skedena i fästningens historia från 1700-talet till våra dagar. Museet ger bland annat glimtar från svenska soldaters, ryska köpmäns och finska röda fångars liv på fästningsöar. "Suomenlinna Experience" vidfilmsföreställningen beskriver fästningens spännande historia. Filmen förevisas varje halvtimme och den sista föreställningen en timme före stängning.
EN: Suomenlinna Museum, located in the Suomenlinna Centre, showcases the eventful history of the sea fortress from the 18th century to the present day. It also depicts the restauration process of the fortress that is part of the history of three different countries - Sweden, Russia and Finland - and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. The wide-screen presentation "Suomenlinna Experience" offers the visitors an excursion to the fascinating history of Suomenlinna. The wide-screen presentation is shown in the museum every 30 minutes during the museum's opening hours. Last presentation an hour before closing time.
