FI: Suomalaisen Kirjallisuuden Seura on vuonna 1831 perustettu tieteellinen seura ja kulttuurijärjestö. SKS tekee työtä monimuotoisen suomalaisen kulttuurin ja kulttuuriperinnön puolesta. SKS:n arkisto ja kirjasto ovat kaikille avoimia. Arkiston kokoelmissa on aineistoa perinteen ja nykykulttuurin sekä kirjallisuuden ja kulttuurihistorian aloilta. Kirjaston keskeisalat ovat kulttuurien tutkimus ja kirjallisuudentutkimus. Arkiston ja kirjaston yhteinen tietopalvelu auttaa kansanperinnettä, muistitietoa, kotimaista kirjallisuutta ja kirjallista elämää koskevissa tiedontarpeissa.
SV: Finska Litteratursällskapet arbetar för en mångsidig finsk kultur och ett mångsidigt finskt kulturarv. Sällskapet bygger sin verksamhet på den nyaste kunskapen och förståelsen om kulturens rötter. SKS:s arkiv för folkminne och samtidskultur samt litteratur och kulturhistoria är öppna för alla, liksom även biblioteket.
