Kyseessä on naapuruston asukkaiden mutkaton ja lämminhenkinen olohuoneenjatke, jonne on helppo astua sisään. Levainissa tarjoillaan aamiaista, lounasta ja kevyttä illallista paikan päällä syötäväksi sekä mukaan otettavaksi, ja leipureiden käsissä syntyy uunituoreita herkkuja aina myöhäiseen iltapäivään saakka. Saatavilla on myös raikkaita, käsintehtyjä cocktaileja ja sommelierin huolella valitsema viinilista.
Levainilla on leipomo-ravintola myös Helsingin Merikortteleissa osoitteessa Pursimiehenkatu 29-31.
