FI: Valokuvagalleria Hippolyte on nykytaiteen näyttelytila, jonka ohjelmisto painottuu valokuvataiteeseen ja sen laajennettuun kenttään. Hippolyte esittelee uutta kotimaista ja kansainvälistä valokuvataidetta sekä tarjoaa foorumin myös muille valokuvalliseen ajatteluun kytkeytyville nykytaiteen muodoille. Gallerian yhteydessä on valokuvataidekirjoihin erikoistunut kirjakauppa, josta löytyy monipuolinen valikoima taide- ja teoriapainotteisia julkaisuja. Taiteilijavetoista ja voittoa tavoittelematonta Hippolyteä ylläpitää Valokuvataiteilijoiden liitto ry.

Hippolyte presenterar ny finländsk och internationell fotokonst och erbjuder en plattform även för andra former av samtidskonst med koppling till fotografiskt tänkande. I anslutning till galleriet finns en bokaffär specialiserad på fotoböcker, med ett mångsidigt urval av konst- och teoribaserade publikationer. Hippolyte är konstnärsdrivet, ideellt och upprätthålls av Fotokonstnärernas förbund.
EN: Photographic Gallery Hippolyte is an exhibition space for contemporary art. The programme focuses on photographic art and its extended field. Hippolyte presents new Finnish and international photographic art and provides a forum for other forms of contemporary art connected to photographic thinking. Inside the gallery there is a bookshop specialising in volumes of photographic art, with a diverse selection of art and theory publications. Hippolyte is an artist-run, non-profit organisation managed by the Association of Photographic Artists.
