FI: Forum Box on kuvanveistäjä, akateemikko Kain Tapperin (1930-2004) aloitteesta vuonna 1996 perustettu taideosuuskunta, jonka tarkoituksena on ylläpitää vapaata, voittoa tavoittelematonta tilaa kaikelle taiteelle Suomen kulttuurielämän sisällön tukemiseksi. Forum Boxin toiminnan takana on yli 80 suomalaista eturivin taiteilijaa ja kulttuurin kentällä toimijaa. Forum Box on taidetila, joka iltaisin muuttuu monitaiteelliseksi kulttuurinäyttämöksi, jossa järjestetään kuukausittain vaihtuvien korkeatasoisten kuvataidenäyttelyiden ohella erilaisia taidetapahtumia ja taiteilijatapaamisia.
SV: Forum Box är ett konstandelslag som grundades år 1996 på initiativ av finska skulptören och akademikern Kain Tapper (1930-2004).Syftet med Forum Box är att berika konstlivet med att upprätthålla ett oberoende, icke-marknadsinriktat rum för samtidskonst i Helsingfors. Forum Box presenterar ett livligt och högklassigt konstprogram som omfattar både bildkonst och multidisciplinära konstformer. Årligen arrangeras 12-20 utställningar och dessutom ett flertal olika evenemang.
EN: Forum Box is a non-profit artist-run co-operative society, which was initiated in 1996 by sculptor Kain Tapper (1930-2004). Its main purpose is to maintain an art space in Helsinki in order to enrich and support the Finnish cultural life. Currently Forum Box co-op has over 80 artist members, all of which are prominent Finnish artists and actors in the field of contemporary art. Forum Box organizes approx.12 exhibitions a year, plus several arts events. Forum Box aims to be a space open for all forms of art.
